What Sortd Industrial does, and who it's for
Sortd Industrial is built on the government's EPC register for industrial and warehouse buildings in England and Wales. It shows each building's rating, floor area, estimated expiry and MEES position, lists the new EPCs lodged to let or for sale each morning, and shows where the upgrade work is, district by district. Here is each tool, the problem it solves and the plan that includes it.

- The problem
- Buildings come to market before anyone tells you. By the time a letting or sale is on a portal, someone else has the instruction or the job.
- What it does
- Every morning, the industrial and warehouse EPCs newly on the register for your areas (most lodged the day before), with why each was lodged (to let, for sale or new build), its rating and its MEES position. A Monday email sums up the week.
About 931 industrial buildings a month have an EPC lodged because they're being let or marketed for sale (7,700 to let and 3,472 for sale in the 12 months to 30 Sep 2026).

- Everyone
- The problem
- Does this building meet today's E minimum, and when does its EPC run out? The government register shows one address at a time, and many tools still use the dropped 2027 and 2030 MEES dates.
- What it does
- Search any industrial or warehouse EPC in England and Wales by postcode, postcode district or address. See its band, floor area and estimated expiry, and where it stands under MEES: whether it meets today's E minimum, and whether it's over 1,000 m² (10,764 sq ft) and short of the proposed EPC B standard.
25,619 industrial and warehouse buildings over 1,000 m² are rated C to E, short of the proposed B line.

- Investors and SIPP owners
- Agents, surveyors and valuers
- Lenders, funds and national firms
- The problem
- Certificates lapse, get replaced or change rating without anyone noticing, and each change moves a building's position.
- What it does
- Save the buildings you own, manage or are buying. We email you the morning a new EPC is lodged, a rating changes, or a certificate comes within 12 months of lapsing.
53% of the 25,619 C to E buildings over 1,000 m² have an EPC that has lapsed or is estimated to expire before 2031.
